So, we arrived in Hong Kong last night after an epic day of travel.  We were supposed to get to Hong Kong in about 5 hours, but all of our planes were delayed, and what should of been 5 hours, took 18 hours.  Then our apartment wasn't ready and we had to spend the night at some random digs until today.

Our actual apartment is in a great location, right next to Temple Street Market, and central to just about everything.  Plus, here in Hong Kong I finally have access to my blog and photo programs - So I'll be able to update my blog an post photos on a regular basis.

So, on cue, here are some delayed pics of Shanghai:

Typhoon, Lol!

Well, the Chinese internet sucks and my vpn is not working, thus posting is a pain.  We've done a ton of things, and survived the first typhoon to hit Shanghai in 35 years.

We'll be in Hong Kong on Saturday where I'll be able to post more regularly.  I'll post a bunch of pics from Shanghai as well.

Word of advice, don't take a Google Chrome book laptop to a country where Google is banned.  That shit won't work.

Shanghai or Bust

So, we arrived in Shanghai after a long, long day.  Our flight was delayed coming out of St. Louis and we got rerouted to San Francisco.  But, we did get a free seat upgrade in the process, what what.  Our apartment is in the old French District of Shanghai . . . I'll post some pictures after a much needed sleep.

This is what you look like after 14 hours of flying.
Apparently, the aliens have landed in Shanghai.

Our world trip doesn't start for another 2 weeks, but we had quite an adventure in Connecticut over the weekend.  We attended the wedding of our friend Bradley Moreland and Luis Miller.  We had a blast, a few drinks, and rubbed shoulders with a celebrity or two.  Oh, how the lowly have risen.

Monday Blues

Monday sucks?  Nothing better than a little mellow dubstep to chase away those blues!

And the Hits Keep Coming.

We went to Mt. Fuji and the surrounding area.  We took so many photos it was ridiculous.  Here's a sampling:

Studio Ghibli Museum:

A rather classy restaurant we came across:

Shinjuku Gyoen Park (Cherry Blossom season is pretty popular in Japan):

Just a sampling of some of the lovely items I've picked up so far, lovely laserdiscs and video-games:

And a few pics of Emily practicing her favourite activity - photo bombing:
